Syracuse Childrens Chorus |

The internationally acclaimed Syracuse Children’s Chorus creates collaborative experiences in which young people share their joy of singing, develop their sense of beauty and deepen their commitment to excellence through choral music education and performance. Founded in 1981 as part of the Preparatory Division of Syracuse University’s School of Music, the Chorus is recognized for musical excellence and as a model for performance-based choral music education. Under the direction of Stephanie Mowery, young singers come from twenty five school districts and home schools across Central New York to sing in the three choirs that make up the Syracuse Children’s Chorus. In addition to four self-produced concerts, the Chorus regularly performs additional concerts in collaboration with various arts, cultural and human service organizations each season.
