Young Men’s Ensemble
- 2nd - 4th graders
- Artistic Director - Katherine Medicis
- Rehearsals will be on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at Crouse College
- Description: This is an entry-level ensemble for singers working on beginning vocal technique and music reading skills. Music instruction will be done through a combination of rote-teaching and score-reading. Choristers in the Preparatory Ensemble will develop their ability to confidently read and follow octavos and perform as part of a choral ensemble. They will spend time working on their musicianship, choral etiquette, and artistic expression. This ensemble will also sometimes combine with the Apprentice Ensemble to allow them to experience some more challenging repertoire with the support of more experienced singers.
Apprentice Ensemble
- 5th grade and up
- Artistic Director - Katherine Medicis
- Rehearsals will be on Mondays from 4:30-5:45 p.m. at Crouse College
- Description: This is an intermediate-level ensemble for singers who have already had some basic choral experience and are able to follow choral octavos without a great deal of assistance. Choristers in the Apprentice Ensemble will continue to develop their vocal technique, musicianship, and artistic expression. This ensemble will sometimes combine with the Preparatory Ensemble to allow them to perform pieces as part of a larger ensemble and to act as peer leaders and mentors.
Chorale Ensemble
- The Chorale Ensemble is open to singers in late-middle-school through 12th grade who have been placed either by audition or because they have advanced through the Preparatory and Apprentice Ensembles

- Rehearsals will be on Mondays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Crouse College
- Description: Chorale members have proven their musicianship, rehearsal practice, and dedication to choral singing. This treble ensemble will perform advanced choral repertoire in 3 and 4 parts. They may have extra performance opportunities throughout the year and may be asked to occasionally perform at special events or concerts. Members of the Chorale Ensemble will continue to work on their vocal technique, musicianship, and artistic expression at an advanced level.
Young Men’s Ensemble
- This ensemble is open to young men in grades 7 - 12 with changing and changed voices
- Artistic Director - Sky Harris
- Rehearsals will be on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Crouse College
- Description: While building camaraderie these singers focus on using healthy vocal technique, continuing to develop music literacy skills, sight-singing, and artistic interpretation skills. The young men focus on the wealth of music written especially for men’s voices.
